Orange Nut Bread Recipe

Seda Sejud


1/2 c orange juice
1/2 c boiling water
rind of 1 med orange
1 c raisins and or dates
1 c sugar
2 t shortening melted
1 t vanilla
1 beaten egg
2 c flour
1 t soda
1/4 t salt
1/2 c nuts (walnuts)

Set oven to 350
Coat large loaf pan with shortening or butter or spray.

Mix oj & water, add to raisins in large mixing bowl. Add sugar, shortening, vanilla, egg, mix with mixer. Slowly add in rest of ingredients.

Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
