2 ½ lbs boneless round steak
3 Tbs oil
4 cloves of garlic, minced
2 cups dry red wine
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can beef consommé
1 envelope of onion soup mix
6 cups sliced mushrooms
1 medium onion, halved then sliced
3 Tbs flour
½ cup water
2 12 oz packages of egg noodles

Directions:

Cut steak into ½ inch strips. Heat 1 Tbs of oil in a med-hot Dutch oven cook meat on both sides until no longer pink; set aside.
Add remaining oil to the Dutch oven and when hot, cook the onions until they begin to get soft, add the mushrooms. Once the mushrooms have released their liquid and onions are translucent, stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.

Add wine and next 3 ingredients, stir well and bring to a boil for about 5 minutes. Add steak back to the Dutch oven and remove from heat.

Blend flour and water then add to the Dutch oven, stir well. Cover and bake in 350º oven for about 1 ½ hours.

Cook egg noodles according to package directions and serve topped with meat and gravy.
