Part 1-

Take 7 pounds Cucumbers, slice 1/4 inches.
Mix 2 Cups Pickling Lime with 8 Quarts of Water
Pour over cucumbers in glass, stone,plastic jug. weigh down with plate or saucer.

Part 2-

Next morning, pour off lime, wash cucumbers good.
Mix 2 quarts White Vinegar
4 Pounds Sugar (I only use 6 Cups)
1 Tablespoon Salt
4 Tablespoons Pickling Spice. Tied in bag.

Pour over cucumbers in glass, stone,plastic jug. weigh down with plate or saucer.

Part 2-

Bring to boil.
Add Cucumbers.
Simmer 2 hours or until slices look clear.
Cut up in 11 quarts
Use enamel pot
