1 large onion, sliced
2 T butter
1 fully cooked spiral ham [7 - 9 lbs]
1½ cups chicken broth
1 cup red wine or additional chicken broth

Directions:
Directions:
In a small skillet, sauté the onion in butter until tender; transfer to a roasting pan. Place ham on top.
Pour the broth and wine or additional broth over ham. Bake, uncovered, at 325º for 2-3 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 140º and ham is heated through.
If you intend to glaze ham, remove ham from oven 10 minutes before end of heating time recommended and brush half of the contents on surfce of the ham. Heat glazed ham uncovered for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and serve with heated glaze on the side.

Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Place ham face down directly into baking dish or roasting pan. Cover tightly with lid, foil or place in cooking bag and heat for approximately 12-15 minutes per pound.
