For the sauce:

1 lb. mild Italian sausage links
24 oz. tomato paste
48 oz. water
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 T. chopped parsley
2 t. salt
1 t. sugar
2 t. dried sweet basil
1. t. dried oregano

For the Meatballs:

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
2 slices bread, broken into pieces
1/3 c. milk
3/4 c. spaghetti sauce
1/2 t. garlic powder
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
1 ts. salt
1 T. chopped parsley

Prepare Sauce;
Brown sausage first in large dutch oven. Add other ingredients. Cook on low 1 1/2 hours before adding meatballs.

Prepare meatballs:
Soak bread in milk in large bowl. Add all remaining ingredients except for the meat. Mix in pork, then beef. Mix all lightly. Form meatballs, approximately 1 1/2" in diameter. Add to sauce. Cook 1 1/2 hours on low. DO NOT STIR!

To serve:
Cook spaghetti. Toss with some of the sauce to coat. Spoon additional sauce, sausage and meatballs over the top. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
