1 1/2 C Butter; sofetened
1pound block sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/2 t. Salt
1or 2 t. Ground red pepper.
1/2 t. Paprika
4 C. All purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Pre-cut is available.

Beat first 5 ingredients at medium speed with a heavy duty stand mixer until blended. Gradually add flour, beating just until combined.

Use a cookie press or bag with star tip to squeeze a long piece on the parchment paper lined pan. Cut the long piece into 2-inch pieces.

Bake for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.

Store these straws in airtight container,

****. Before pressing the dough thru the tips, be sure the dough has softened even more. This will make it easier to squeeze or push the dough thru.

These can be made into wafer crackers by rolling the dough into 4 -8 inch logs, about the diameter of a quarter. Wrap each in plastic and chill 8 hours to easily slice 1/4 inch thick. Cook same.
