1 pkg. Pillsbury Devilsfood cake mix
⅓ c. margarine, softened
1 egg
1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
¾ c. sugar
¼ c. green creme de menthe
2 tsp. white creme de cocoa
2 c. sour cream
4 squares semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled

1. Preheat oven to 350º. Beat cake mix, 1 egg, and margarine until crumbly on low speed. Press lightly into an ungreased 9x13x2” pan.
2. Beat the cream cheese, 2 eggs, sugar, creme de menthe, and creme de cocoa until smooth and fluffy. Spread over cake mixture.
3. Bake until set.... about 20-25 minutes
4. Mix sour cream and chocolate until smooth. Spread over cheesecake. Cool, cover, and refrigerate at least 8 hrs.

When we moved to Atwater on Cambridge Drive, there were only a few houses there in our division when we moved in- about 6 of the total 25. As a new family would move in, we would have a “ block” party to welcome them. Terry made this cheesecake when we were welcomed into the neighborhood, and then for other parties she had over the years. It was always a favorite!
