Lee Family Holiday Cake Recipe

1 package of raisins
1 cups water
cup Crisco
1 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
tsp allspice
tsp ground cloves
cup chopped nuts(optional)

Combine raisins and water in a saucepan over medium/high heat. Boil for 5 minutes. Cool.
Mix Crisco, sugar, and eggs until smooth. Add raisin mixture.
Sift together, the remaining ingredients and add to wet mixture.

Bake 1 hrs, 325 in a bundt or tube pan.
