2 egg whites
4 tablespoons sugar
1/4 tsp. cream tartar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites with cream tartar, salt and 1/2 tsp. vanilla until foamy.

Continue beating, adding 1 T. sugar at a time. Be sure sugar is dissolved before adding more.

Continue to beat until stiff and glossy and holds peaks.

spread over pie and bake in 425 oven for 4-5 minutes or until lightly brown.
