1 1/2 cup sugar
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar
1/3 cup cold water
1 tsp vanilla
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
In double boiler, combine sugar, egg whites, cream of tartar and salt. Beat 1/3 minute at low speed, place over boiling water. Beat constantly for 7 minutes. Remove from heat, add vanilla,beat another 2 minutes (will form peaks) spread on cooled cake
