1 (8 oz.) jar grape leaves
1 lb. ground lamb or round steak
1 cup long grain rice
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1/2 sliced medium onion

Directions:
Directions:
Brown salted and peppered meat; set aside. Cook rice in 2 cups boiling water for 12 minutes or until all water is boiled away. Combine meat and cooked rice. Drain grape leaves and separate. Place 1 Tablespoon meat and rice mixture in center of a grape leaf and roll up, tucking in sides. Place in 5 x 8 inch covered casserole dish in layers with tomatoes on each layer with top layer containing onion and tomatoes. Bake in slow oven at 325 for 1 hour.
