4 cups sliced apples
1 T flour
3/4 C sugar
1/4 t cinnamon or nutmeg
2 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
Fill the pastry-lined pie pan with the apples
Mix the flour, sugar and spice. Sprinkle this mixture over the apples and dot with butter.
Roll dough for the top crust. Put the crust on top of the pie.
Cut slits in the top. Put the crust at the round edges. Cut off excess.
Flute the edge of the pie crust. Place the forefinger of the right hand on the rim of the pie and the thumb directly below on the overhanging dough. Raise a small portion of the overhanging dough with the thumb pressing it against the forefinger and slightly twisting it to form a standing flute. Continue until completing the whole edge.
Bake for 40 minutes. - 450 for 15 minutes and 350 for the remaining time.
