Apple Pie Recipe

2 1/2 c. plain flour
1 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vinegar (added to milk)
1 tsp. salt


Apple Filling

2 1/2 c. grated apples (I always slice mine and use more apples)
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter, melted
1 egg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:

Pastry

Blend flour and shortening together with pastry blender. Mix milk and vinegar together. Add milk mixture and salt to flour mixture. Combine handling as little as possible. Divide in halve and roll out top and bottom crusts.


Filling

Mix all together and pour in uncooked pie shell, piling up in the middle. Top with other pie shell and crimp edges. Make slits in top. Bake at 350 for approximately 1 hour or until brown.
