1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 T. light corn syrup
1 c. chopped pecans
18-1/2 inch slices French Bread
6 beaten eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
1 t. vanillla
1 T. sugar
1 1/2 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
1.In a medium saucepan, stir together brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Heat and stir until butter is melted and brown sugar is dissolved. Pour into a 9 x 13 baking dish. Sprinkle with half the pecans.
2.Arrange half of the bread slices in a single layer in the dish. Sprinkle with remaining pecans and top with remaining bread slices.
3.In a medium bowl, stir together the eggs, milk and vanilla. Slowly pour over the bread. Press lightly with the back of a large spatula to moisten the bread.
4.Mix the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle over bread. Cover and chill for 8-24 hours.
5. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 oven for 30-40 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand 10 minutes.
