Soak small white beans overnight. I use a small package out 2 cups or 1/2 a large one.
Next day boil the beans for 1 hours then drain.
Add:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 package of dry onion soup mix

Fry 6 to 8 slices of bacon and ad bacon and grease to the bean mix.
Add tomato juice to cover (540 ml tin)

Bake at 250 degrees for 7 or 8 hours, or the same length of time on the low setting of your slow cooker.
Add more juice if needed.

These are fabulous and freeze well.
