1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
1/2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4 cups sifted icing sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the shortening with the butter until blended. Slowly add milk and vanilla. Add 1 cup icing sugar until smooth. Then add 1 at a time until desired thickness is reached. Food coloring may be added if you wish. May be used to decorate cakes and then freezes well or may be kept in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 weeks.
