cup butter
cup Crisco
cup brown sugar
cup white sugar
1 eggs
1 Tbsp vanilla
2 cup flour
tsp baking soda
tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup walnut pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, Crisco, brown and white sugars until fluffy and light. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until thoroughly incorporated. In a separate bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients. Add to sugar mixture until well blended. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Scoop onto cookie sheet using cup scoop. Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for exactly 17 minutes. Remove to rack to cool

These cookies are a Larson family favorite and they were the Grand Champion Blue Ribbon winner at the Jackson County Fair.
