2 eggs
⅓ c. sugar
tsp. salt
2 c. scalded milk (add a little cream to the milk before scalding to make the custard richer)
1 tsp. vanilla
tsp. cinnamon
tsp. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Beat eggs, sugar, and salt slightly to mix. Stir in scalded milk. Add vanilla and cinnamon or nutmeg. Pour into 6 custard cups or a 1 quart baking dish and set in a pan of hot water about 1" deep. Bake 45 to 50 minutes, or just until a knife inserted 1" from the edge comes out clean.(The center will set as it cools.). Immediately remove from oven. Served warm or cooled.
