2 medium cucumbers, thinly sliced
1 large onion, sliced and separated into rings
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon dill seed
1 or 2 drops hot pepper sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Place sliced cucumbers and onions in bowl. Sprinkle with salt. In another bowl, combine water, vinegar and sugar. Pour over cucumbers and onions. Let stand at room temperature for 1 hour. Drain thoroughly. Combine sour cream, dill seed and hot pepper sauce. Toss gently with cucumbers and onions. Cover and chill for one hour.
