1 1/2 cup milk
6 Tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
3 Tablespoons butter
1 cup sugar (additional)
2 packages yeast, dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water (105 to 110 degrees)
4 1/2 cups flour
8 cups fresh apples
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon

For filling:
1 package lemon pie filling
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups water
3 Tablespoons butter

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk, stir in 6 tablespoons sugar, salt and butter. Cool to lukewarm. Stir yeast and flour into the milk mixture. Beat til smooth. Cover and let rise till double in bulk. About 45 minutes. Stir dough down and pat into large, greased, jelly roll pan. Mix apples with sugar and spices; spread over dough. Bake for 30 minutes in a 400 degree oven. When done pour lemon filling over apples.

To make lemon filling: Cook lemon pie filling, sugar and water in saucepan till thick. Stir in butter.
