Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
6 2/3 T. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
6 c. milk
4 squares ( or a little less) unsweetened chocolate
8 slightly beaten egg yolks
2 T. butter
1 T. vanilla
2 baked pie shells
Whipped cream

Directions:
Directions:
Blend the flour, sugar cornstarch, and salt together in a large saucepan. In another saucepan, heat the milk. Add the chocolate, and mix until chocolate is melted and well blended with milk. Add the chocolate mixture to the dry ingredients. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture is thick. Blend 1 cup of this hot mixture into the bowl with the beaten egg yolks. Then add the tempered egg yolks into the chocolate mixture. After adding the yolks, cook for about 1 minute. Add butter and vanilla.
Cover and cool to Luke warm. Put into the baked pie shells.
Refrigerate and serve with whipped cream.
Note: To prevent a “skin” from forming on the pie as it cools, right after filling the pie shells, press a piece of plastic wrap on the filling.
