Ingredients:  
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup light molasses
4 tsps salt
2/3 cup white sugar
4 cups warm water
2 pks yeast (dry)
9 cups unsifted flour (white)
3 cups unsifted rye flour
caraway seeds if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Stir shortening,molasses, salt and sugar together.
Than add warm water and yeast.
Slowly add flour and stir.
Than knead it thoroughly and put into greased bowl and let rise twice.
Put into loaf pans and let rise again.

Bake @ 375 degrees for 45 minutes.

Makes 4 loaves.
