1 pkg. dry yeast
2 eggs
tsp. salt
2 c. raisins
1 c. milk
flour to make a stiff dough

Directions:
Mix yeast with c. warm water and 2 tsp. sugar. When it foams, add the remaining ingredients. Set in a warm place to rise until double in size. Drop by soup spoonfuls into hot fat and cook to a golden brown, turning once. These Mennonite fritters are dipped in sugar as you eat them. A VERY popular item at the annual MCC sale in Abbotsford...the line-ups are long. Many of the younger generation don't make these Mennonite dishes anymore but welcome them at the annual fair.
