German Coleslaw Recipe

5 strips bacon cut into pieces
1/4 c. white vinegar or lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar (or 8-10 little packets of splenda or stevia)
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 head cabbage shredded
(or a bag of shredded coleslaw mix)

Fry bacon until crisp. Leave 2-3 T bacon grease in pan. Add vinegar or lemon juice and scrape up all the bits from the pan. Add sugar and whisk over heat until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Mix in the mayonnaise and salt. Stir in onion and cabbage serve slightly warm.

I usually make this with fake sugar as it is fairly low carb that way. You can throw in a little more mayo if the dressing is too thin.
