1 lb. Ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 carrots, peeled and cut in 3/4 chunks
1 medium onion, cut into 8 eddy
1 (14 1/2 oz.) ready to beef broth
1 medium zucchini, sliced
1 (14.5 oz.) ça diced tomatoes, undrained
1 ( 6oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. water
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour

1. In a Dutch oven or large sauce pan combine ground beef salt and pepper cook over medium high heat until beef is brown and thoroughly cooked. Drained
2. Add carrots potatoes onions and broth. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until vegetables are completely tender..
3. Stir in zucchini, mushrooms, thyme and Worcestershire sauce. Cook 5 to 10 minutes or until zucchini is tender.
4. In a small jar with lid tightly screwed on combine cold water and flour, shake well to blend. Gradually add to stew, stirring constantly, cook and stir until bubbly and thickened.

This Recipe was written during the great depression to save money they use to ground beef. And if you have small children that have a hard time chewing chunks of beef ground beef is an excellent alternative.
