1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups sugar
5 Tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon soft butter
1/2 cup cherry juice
1/4 teaspoon red food coloring
3 cups drained and pitted cherries

Pie dough for 2 crusts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, flour and salt. Stir in butter then cherry juice and food coloring. Add cherries and let stand. Pour
cherry mixture into prepared unbaked pie shell. Roll out pie dough and cut into strips. Weave strips on top of cherries. Finish edges. Bake pie at 425 degrees for 40 minutes.
