1 ½ C Uncooked Elbow Macaroni
4 tbsp Margarine
1 Small Onion, finely chopped
4 tbsp Flour
2 C Milk
½ lb (about 13 slices) American Cheese, cut into small pieces
Black Pepper to taste
½ C (approximately) Italian Style Bread Crumbs

Boil macaroni until al dente. Drain. In 2 quart covered microwavable casserole dish, microwave on high margarine and onion until onion is tender (about 4 minutes). Stir. Add flour and stir to make a paste. Add milk, cheese, and black pepper. Microwave on high for 4 minutes. Stir and return to microwave for 2 ½ minutes until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth and thickened. Fold in elbow macaroni. Top with a generous layer of bread crumbs. Bake at 350º - 375º for 40 minutes until bubbly and top is browned. Enjoy!
