Hungarian Nut Bread Recipe

2 c. luke warm milk
2 Tbs. sugar
5 egg yolks
2 pkg yeast
8 c. flour
1 lb. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 tsp salt

FILLING
16 oz. pecans ground
1 c. sugar

BRUSH ON BREAD AFTER BAKING
1 stick melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine milk and sugar. Add egg yolks and yeast: let stand for 1 hour.

2. in another lg bowl, mix flour and butter. Add sugar and salt. Add flour mixture to the milk mixture, let stand at room temp overnight, covered, or at least 8 hours.

3. Divide dough into 4 equal part. Roll out dough logs into 18 x 12 inch sheets, sprinkle filling over each sheet or dough and roll up as you would a jelly roll, starting with the long end.

4. Filling: ground pecans and 1 c. sugar plus small amt of cinnamon.

5. Bake at 325* for 40 to 45 min. Brush tops of bread with melted butter immediately from oven.

These loaves are only mildly sweet and make great presents.

Also freeze well.
