Fantasy Fudge Recipe

3 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter or margarine
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 jar marshmallow cream or marshmallow fluff
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. chocolate bits

Bring sugar, butter or margarine and milk to a boil in a saucepan.
Stir for 5 minutes over medium heat to soft ball stage (238).
Remove from heat.
Stir in chocolate.
Add marshmallow, nuts and vanilla.
Beat until well blended.
Pour into a 13 x 9 inch pan.
Let set and chill.
Cut into small pieces.
