1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour, measured before sifting
1 c. warm milk
1/2 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract

Glaze:
3 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. butter
2 c. powdered sugar
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. lemon rind

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and crisco.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add sifted flour with baking powder alternately with milk until all is used.

Bake at 350º for 1 hour in tube pan.
Do not preheat oven.
Place on cake plate and glaze

Glaze:
Heat milk and butter until butter melts. Pour over sugar and stir until smooth.
Add lemon juice and rind and blend well.
