3/4 cups flour
2 Tbsp. butter
2 eggs beaten
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup currants

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and butter, beat in eggs and vanilla, then dry ingredients and currants
Roll1/4 inch thick, Cut in small circles. Fry in ungreased pan at medium heat for 5-6 minutes on each side of until golden

These little cakes are a real hit with my grandchildren when they come to Nana's. They love to help make them and eat while still warm.
