"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe came from Marcy Thieme. Grandma Pauline Thieme used to make it a lot when we were there for meals. When I make it I make the dressing ahead of time and store in refrigerator. Then it makes for a quick salad when I want to make apple salad. The nice thing is you can easily make just a small amount quickly. One apple and one banana make enough for two people.
