Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 c. warm water
2 pkgs active dry yeast
½ c. plus 1 TB sugar
1½ c. hot water
½ c. butter, softened
2½ tsp. salt
5 c. bread flour, plus more as needed

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bowl, stir together the warm water, yeast and 1 tablespoon of the sugar and let sit until foamy, 10 to 20 minutes. Then, in a large bowl, mix the hot water, butter, the remaining ½ cup of sugar and the salt until the butter is melted. Cool to lukewarm (100º to 110ºF), and then add to the yeast mixture, mixing well. Gradually add the flour, beating well after each addition. Work in just enough more flour to make a soft but not sticky dough. Place in a large greased bowl and turn over once to grease the top of the dough. Cover with a dry dish towel and let rise until double in size, about 1 hour.
Punch down the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes. Divide the dough into 32 rolls and place onto a baking sheet. Let rise until double in size, 45 minutes to 1 hour.
While the dough is rising, preheat the oven to 350º. Bake until lightly browned, about 25 minutes.
Remove the rolls from the pan and cool on a wire rack or windowsill. The rolls can be stored in a sealed plastic bag and remain fresh for 3 to 4 days. The rolls may also be stored in a plastic bag and frozen for up to 6 months. Makes 32 rolls.
