1 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Butter
2 Eggs
1 C. Bananas, mashed
1/4 C Sour Cream or buttermilk
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 C. Flour
1 tsp Vanilla

Frosting:
9 Tbs. Brown Sugar
6 Tbs. Margarine
3 Tbs. Milk
2 ½ C. sifted powder sugar
1/2 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Cream together sugar and butter. Add beaten eggs. Combine with rest of ingredients. Pour into greased and floured cake pan. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.

Burnt Sugar Frosting: Mix together brown sugar, margarine and milk. Bring to boil for approximately 30 seconds. Cool slightly, approximately 4 minutes. Slowly add 2 to 2 ½ cups sifted powder sugar. Beat until smooth then add Vanilla. Spread over banana cake.
