2½ TSP SALT
⅓ CUP HONEY
6-6½ CUPS FLOUR
2 CUP OLD FASHIONED OATS

SOFTEN YEAST IN WARM WATER, POUR SCALDED MILK OVER SHORTENING, SALT & HONEY IN LARGE BOWL
COOL TO LUKEWARM, STIR IN 2 CUPS FLOUR & ADD SOFTENED YEASTS & OATS
STIR IN ENOUGH ADDITIONAL FLOUR TO MAKE SOFT DOUGH.
TURN OUT ON LIGHTLY FLOURED BOARD
KNEAD UNTIL SMOOTH, ABOUT 10 MINS & PLACE IN LARGE BOWL
LET RISE ABOUT 2 HRS
PLACE IN WELL GREASED LOAF PAN
COVER & LET RISE 45 MINS
BAKE AT 350º FOR 45 MINS
MAKES 3 LOAVES
