40 oz maraschino cherries drained
½ c brandy or amaretto

1 c butter, softened
8 oz cream cheese
2 c flour

Powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Drain cherries. Add brandy or amaretto and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
Cream butter and cream cheese together. Gradually add flour. Blend until a stiff dough is formed. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Drain cherries and place on paper towels. Roll dough ⅛ in thick on surface sprinkled with powdered sugar. Cut into strips ¾-1 in wide. Roll up a cherry and overlap ends. Cut and place overlapped ends down on a parchment paper lined sheets. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar while warm. Sprinkle again with powdered sugar before serving. Refrigerate cookies.
