½ c butter
⅔ c sugar
2 T milk
1 egg, separated
1 t vanilla
1c flour
⅓ c cocoa
¼ t salt

½ c powdered sugar
1 T butter
2 t milk
¼ t vanilla
Food coloring

1 c ground nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg yolk, milk and vanilla. Combine flour cocoa and salt. Blend into creamed mixture. Chill for 1 hour or until firm.
While dough chills mix powdered sugar, butter, milk and vanilla in a small bowl for filling. Mix until well combined. Add a few drops of food coloring and beat til smooth.
Beat egg white until frothy. Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Dip into egg whites and roll into ground nuts. Place on parchment paper lined sheets and press a thumb into center of cookie to make a well. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes. Immediately spoon about ¼ teaspoon of filling into well. Gently press a kiss into filling and leave cool for a few minutes. Cool completely on wire racks.
