3 c. Sugar
1 c. Water
1 c. White Karo Syrup
1/4 tsp. Red Food Coloring
1/2 stick Butter
1 tsp. Maple
Pinch of Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Bring sugar, water, and syrup to a boil. Add peanuts and food coloring. Cook until hard ball stage. Remove from heat; add butter, salt and maple. Beat until mixture is too thick to beat anymore (changes color). Pour onto greased cookie sheet in round mounds.

** Hard Ball Stage is when the sugar, water, and syrup boils and you pour a tsp. of the mixture into a cup of cold water then you reach in the cup with your fingers and roll a ball. If it is medium to hard then it is ready.
