Pinch Salt
4 drops real Vanilla
1 cup sugar
2 cups Corn Flakes, plain, crushed
1/2 cup chocolate chips, semi-sweet
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Add vanilla and salt to egg whites.

Beat with electric mixer until foamy.

Sprinkle in sugar gradually and continue beating until stiff meringue is formed.

Fold in cereal and chocolate bits.

Drop by teaspoons on greased sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees 12-15 minutes.

Cool briefly before removing to rack.

Yield: 24

This recipe results better when made in dry weather with humidity low.
Egg whites must be free of any yolks for best results. Room temperature eggs beat up best.
Mixing bowl must be clean and dry for best results.
Cream of Tartar meringue stay firm, especially in humid weather - add with vanilla.
