2 1/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 t. baking soda
1 c. margarine, softened
1/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 pkg. (4 srv) Vanilla flavor instant pudding and pie filling
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs
1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:

Mix flour with baking soda. Combine margarine, the sugars, pudding mix and vanilla in a large mixer bowl; beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture; then stir in chips and nuts. (batter will be stiff.) Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes.
