Ingredients: 6 large eggs 4 cups milk 1 cup sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp salt (optional) Nutmeg & Cinnamon to tast

Directions:In a mixing bowl whisk 1 cup sugar and 1/2 tsp salt. Crack 6 eggs into bowl and whisk ingredients together Whisk very well until it forms a homogeneous mixture Pour 4 cups of milk into a large pot and turn heat to medium Pour egg mixture into milk Whisk the egg mixture and milk together very quickly Continually whisk for about 5 minutes until you see steam Allow to cook for 30 seconds more Take the pot off heat and add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla Pour into bottle and let cool Place in refrigerator for at least 3 hours (6-8 hours for best results) |

Notes: I hunted for a good eggnog recipe for years and FINALLY I found one. Everyone was so happy even Camren who doesn't even like eggnog. Then of course I lost it and we went through 3 years of horrible attempts and fails. Sorry guys!! Then I found one again it wasn't exactly what we wanted but after a few tweeks we have a Heather, Cj, and Cyle seal of approval. I was very pleased to add this recipe to our cookbook now it can never be lost again!!!!
