One (1) pound of butter
Two (2) cups of sugar
4½ cups of Flour, divided
2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 tsp. Almond Extract
1 tsp. Salt
1½ tsp. Baking Powder


Topping
1 Cup sugar
1 Tbsp. Cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º F.
Cream together butter and sugar. Stop and scrape bowl. Continue creaming ingredients together until smooth.
Continue mixing
Gradually add flour to butter and sugar, ½ cup at a time. Scrape bowl intermittently. Dough should feel somewhat like Play-Doh. May not need all the flour.
Add in Extracts, Salt, and Baking powder. Mix until combined.
Chill dough before cutting.
Place dough onto clean, floured surface and roll out to about ¼ in. thickness using floured rolling pin
Using your favorite cookie cutter cut into shapes and place on baking sheet.
Bake approximately 6-9 minutes, or until light golden brown on the edges (This depends on the size of your cookie).

While cookies bake combine topping ingredients and set aside.
Once cookies have baked remove from oven and let sit for 2-3 minutes to cool.
While still warm press the cookies into the cinnamon and sugar mixture and put on a wire rack to cool completely.
