1 3/4 C flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp sugar
3 eggs
7 Tbsp melted butter
1 1/3 C milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the dry ingredients.
Mix together the egg yolks, milk and butter.
Make a hole in the center of the flour mixture and add the liquid ingredients.
Stir until just combined.

Beat the egg whites until stiff.
Fold them into the batter until just blended.

Cook waffles in a preheated waffle iron.

Serve with maple syrup, yogurt, fruit - whatever you want!

Tip:
Make a large batch and store the leftovers in the freezer. Put them in the toaster when you are ready to eat them!

When the kids were still small, Uta gave us a waffle maker and supplied us with this recipe and all the fixings needed to make them. We still make waffles when the kids come to visit. This year, Madison and Emma were the waffle cooks!
