1/2 Lb. frozen cheese filled tortellini (about 60)
1 beaten egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese, grated

Cooking Oil for deep fat frying

Marinara or
Cajun Aioli:

1 cup mayonnaise
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1/4 tsp. red pepper
Makes about 1 1/4 cups

Chopped parley or basil and freshly grated parmesan cheese

Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain, rinse and cool. Combine egg and milk in a large mixing bowl. Add pasta and toss gently to coat. Combine bread crumbs and parmesan cheese in a plastic bag. Lift pasta with a slotted spoon and add about one fourth at a time to crumb mixture. Toss to coat with crumbs. Remove.

Carefully at about 12 tortellini at a time to hot oil. Fry for one minute or until golden brown. Remove, drain on paper towels. Serve warm sprinkled with fresh parsley or basil and parmesan cheese and with marinara sauce or Cajun aioli to dip.

Cajun aioli:
Stir together all ingredients in small bowl. Chill and serve.

Aioli is a garlicky French mayonnaise and I added peppers to give it a cajun kick. Everyone loves this at parties!
