1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can water

1 lb ground beef
2/3 cup dry bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tbsp minced onion
1 tsp salt

2 tbsp minced dill pickle

Directions:
Directions:
Mix soup and water together well.

Mix ONLY 1/4 cup of the soup mixture with remaining ingredients (except pickle) and mix well.

Form into 1" balls and brown in a large skillet.

Add remaining soup mixture and pickles, cover and cook on low for 20 minutes.

Yes, the pickles are a weird ingredient, but you have to add them! They give the sauce a really nice tartness and even people who don't like pickles agree they belong in the recipe.
