1 ½ cup sugar
½ cup butter – softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 ¾ cup flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt

Topping:

4 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 400ºF.

In large bowl, cream together 1 ½ cups sugar and butter. Beat until light and fluffy.

Add vanilla and eggs. Blend well.

Add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.

In small bowl, combine remaining sugar and cinnamon.

Form dough into small balls. Roll in cinnamon sugar.

Place on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack
