1 ½ c. sugar
⅓ c. water
¼ tsp. salt
2 egg whites
1 ½ tsp. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except the vanilla in the top of a double boiler- off the heat. Beat with a rotary beater until mixed.
Put the top part of the double boiler with the mixture in it over rapidly boiling water in the lower part of the double boiler.
Beat continuously for 7 minutes or until the frosting forms peaks.
Add the vanilla. Beat until cool and of spreading consistency.

Makes enough frosting for a 2 layer 9" cake.
