2 tsp. oil
3 chopped green onions
2 cloves of minced garlic
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. chili powder
1 c. diced red pepper
½ chopped tomato
1 - 19 oz. can of chick peas rinsed and drained
⅓ c. dry bread crumbs
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
Directions:
Directions:
Heat 1 tsp. of the oil in a frying pan and cook the onion, garlic, oregano, chili powder.
Stir for 2 minutes and add in the red pepper and tomato.
Cook and stir until the pepper is tender (around 3 minutes) and liquid is evaporated.
Using a food processer or other mixing method, process pepper mixture with chick peas.
Transfer to a bowl and add bread crumbs, parsley, salt and pepper.
Form into 4 burgers.
Heat the remaining oil and cook the burgers 4 minutes on each side.
