4 C. Plain pecan halves (not salted or roasted)
2 T. Orange juice
1 Large egg white
2 T. Orange zest
1/2 C. Sugar
1 1/2 t. Kosher or sea salt
1 1/2 t. Chili powder
Pinch of ground pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 225º. Line cooking sheet with parchment paper. Must use parchment paper!!

In a large bowl combine the pecans, orange juice, and egg whites.

In a small bowl, combine the orange zest, sugar, salt, and spices. Add to nuts and toss to coat evenly.

Spread evenly on the baking sheet and bake for 1 hour but you must stir them every 15 minutes!
