2 Tblsp cooking oil
1/2 clove garlic, minced
1/2 envelope (1/4 cup) onion soup mix
1 cup water
1-(8 oz) can (1 cup) tomato sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp dried oregano, crushed
1 lb ground beef
1/2 tsp salt
dash pepper
1/3 cup fine bread crumbs
1/2 cup milk
2 Tblsp cooking oil
8 hot dog buns, split and toasted

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan, heat together the first 2 Tblsp cooking oil and the garlic; stir in soup mix, water, tomato sauce, sugar, and oregano. Gently boil sauce, uncovered, 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally till slightly thickened. Combine meat, salt, pepper, bread crumbs, and milk. Shape into 24 balls; brown in the remaining 2 Tblsp of oil. Add to sauce; cover and cook for about 20 minutes. Arrange 3 meatballs on bottom half of hot dog buns. Spoon a little sauce on that and cover with bun top.
